Pharmacy Technician IV

Provides technical assistance in the preparation and charging of medications and supplies under the direction of the Pharmacist.  Processes, enters, and interprets physician orders, under the direction of the Pharmacist, and delivers medications and supplies to patient care areas.  Mixes complex sterile (including cytotoxic) products, using aseptic technique and performs special projects for the department.

Location: Lemmen Holton Cancer Pavilion (Grand Rapids, MI) with travel to our Muskegon, Holland, and Lacks Cancer Center locations.

Registered Nurse

Provides quality cancer care by assessing and monitoring patients, formulating a nursing diagnosis and prioritizing problems.  Engages the patient in mutual goal setting and developing a plan of care in collaboration with the physician and other members of the health care team.

Financial Coordinator

Responsible for all aspects of CHCWM’s patient financial policy with includes verifying insurance, authorizing chemotherapy treatment, estimating the cost of therapy and providing counseling to patients and family about covered services and financial responsibility, and collecting patient payments. Ensure the financial feasibility of treating each patient in our clinics by communicating and working closely with patients, physician, nurse and social worker.

Maintain knowledge of collection techniques and collection laws.

Research Billing Specialist

Responsible for tasks related to accurate billing and billing compliance within our research service.  Obtain prior authorization for Phase I research and maintain compliant billing of Phase I-III research services to Insurance. Provide Customer Service to patients, third party carriers, physicians, research clinicians and others as needed. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of payer regulations and reimbursement methodologies particularly as pertains to Research.

Collection Specialist

Responsible for collecting patient balances and maintaining patient Accounts Receivable at an acceptable level, designated by management. This primarily consist of making collections calls to patients and legal representatives to obtain full payment of personal balance and / or setting up and managing payment plans. Manage the collection (agency) process and ensure that past due accounts are sent to collection agency timely. Ensure that patient credits and refunds are processed accurately and timely. Maintain complete knowledge of collection techniques and collection law. Responsible for all aspects of CHCWM’s patient financial policy. Ensure good communication with patients, financial coordinators, physicians, nurses and social workers. Back up for Financial Coordinator as needed.

START Infusion/Treatment Nurse

The Treatment Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care to individuals who are participants in research protocols that are conducted at START.

The Treatment Nurse uses appropriate professional judgment and decision-making in planning and providing care. Nursing care is to be delivered in a manner consistent with the Standard Operating Procedures and standards of practice, and professional evidence based standards.

Helpdesk Technician

As a Helpdesk position, you will be responsible for maintaining user uptime and improving computing experiences through effective remote problem identification and resolution. You will also be responsible for providing exceptional customer service. You will receive tickets indicating a user support request, and you will identify and resolve issues. The requests may involve working with other resources and vendors to deliver effective support services. You will then provide ongoing technical support and follow up with clients.
