Coder/Biller Specialist

Responsible for reviewing and processing professional and chemotherapy charges, ensuring proper billing and coding in order to protect revenue and reduce risk. Responsible for education and communications to providers regarding coding, billing and documentation. Work in specific areas of concern in the department on a project basis. Performs complex and varied tasks requiring in depth medical coding, billing and industry knowledge.

Pharmacy Technician

Dispense prescription drugs to patients, and assist in the preparation and charging of medications and supplies under the supervision of the pharmacist in charge.  Provide quality patient care and excellent customer service.  Processes, enters and interprets physician orders, and mixes complex sterile (including cytotoxic) products, using aseptic technique.  Follow departmental procedures with regard to inventory control, claims submission and other administrative tasks.

Pharmacokinetic Technician/Lab Tech/Phlebotomist

Under general supervision, this position performs set-up, processing, handling, and shipping procedures within the START Midwest Pharmacokinetic Department.

Location: START Midwest/East Campus (Grand Rapids, MI)

START Research Nurse

Nurse will be assigned multiple protocols at any time for which they will oversee aspects of protocols with planning and coordinating patient participation in the trial.  Is responsible for implementation as well as completion of protocol specific requirements.   Provide accurate, up to date information to all team members involved with any aspect of carrying out protocol specific requirements.  Will assist in the maintenance of all study related Case Report Forms, whether paper or electronic as well as know status of completion.   Will assist with regulatory requirements if needed as assigned.  Will understand the ethical issues involved in human subjects research, adhering to the Federal Regulations governing research.

Education Coordinator

Responsible for initiating services to newly diagnosed patients requiring chemotherapy. Develops a detailed plan of care focused on educating the patient and family on designated treatment regimen and side effect management. Advanced Practice Provider- Inpatient

Under physician supervision, the mid level provider is responsible for the comprehensive medical management of assigned inpatients in the hospital setting. Nurse Manager

Provides direct patient care through the identification, implementation and evaluation of care built on nursing diagnosis and focused on goals mutually set by patients and families. Provides clinical expertise to nurses and the staff who partner with nursing to provide cancer care services to patients and families.  Oversees management of the Clinical Supervisor, site nurses and medical assistants.  Represents nursing in corporate initiatives to enhance care delivery and positioning in the health care environment.
