Lab Orders
Due to high scheduled patient volume during the morning hours, walk-ins are discouraged during these times.
If you have an order from a physician outside of Cancer & Hematology Centers of Western Michigan, our lab personnel can draw these tests as well. Please give your order to the receptionist at the front desk upon arrival.
Central Venous Catheters
If you have a central venous catheter (i.e. Port-a-cath, Hickman catheter or a PICC line) and wish to have your blood tests drawn from this catheter, please make arrangements with your nurse ahead of time. This typically means scheduling an appointment with her/him prior to your visit with the physician. If you are seeing a nurse for treatment, this blood draw can often be incorporated into that visit.
Latex Allergy
If you have a latex allergy, please inform the lab personnel upon arrival so latex-free gloves and tourniquets can be used.
