CHCWM oncologist Sreenivasa Chandana, M.D., Ph.D., publishes article in ‘Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology’

Cancer and Hematology Centers of Western Michigan (CHCWM) oncologist Sreenivasa Chandana, M.D., Ph.D., is one of six authors of “Survival trends of metastatic small intestinal neuroendocrine tumor: a population-based analysis of SEER database,” which was published in Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology. The article details survival trends amongst patients with small intestinal neuroendocrine tumors (SNETs), analyzing differences between patients who received surgery and did not receive surgery. The authors concluded that surgery significantly improved five-year survival rates in SNET patients. Read the study here.
